The Word ‘Woman’ Recorded Through Five Movements of Lipstick, 1992
This piece addresses the tension between body, language, and representation. Here "kissing lips" become an act of language and self-affirmation. This piece interrogates whether a woman exists within or outside the constraints of language and representation in a patriarchal culture.
